We feel the storage quota imposed on each user's account is very gracious. Ultimately, we allow more storage than we believe a person can physically fly per year. Since the accounts are free to create, directly imposing a stringent quota would simply drive users to create multiple free accounts. The details below describe the constraints applied to your account.
File sizes are limited to:
1. No smaller than 1 kilobyte (approximately 5 minutes of logging)
2. No larger than 300 kilobytes (approximately 7 hours of logging)
Your device, however, will allow file sizes outside of this range. These constraints are applied when the flights are uploaded to your account. The app will display warnings if the file attempting to be uploaded is outside of this range.
Users are limited to 10 file uploads per day. Based on the numbers outlined on this page, users should have no more than 1095 megabytes of recorded GPS data in their account per year. I know right, that's a ton of storage. That much is free and we store it forever for you.
Want to see what 7 hours of flying every day for a whole year looks like:
10 flights * 300 kilobytes * 365 days/year = 1095 megabytes per year
Nobody flies that much (ie: an average of 7 hours per day), that's why we feel it is enough for every user.
Q. "Sometimes I legitimately fly 10~12 hours per day, can I only upload 7 of those hours?"
A. You will be able to upload all of those 10~12 hours because they're most likely broken down into 5-2hr flights, or 4-3hr flights, etc. That is still less than 10 uploads per day. And the chances are pretty good that no one flies that much every day of the year. Even if one was to fly 10~12 hours every other day, that averages 5~6 hours per day, still below our 7 hour per day average.
Account Expiration Accounts will expire if not utilized in a 14 month period. The date of each login is stored and a monthly scan checks the login activity of each account. At 12 and 13 months, a notice email will be sent to the username. At 14 months, if the account has not logged in, it will be removed.
Users may share recorded flights with others, but only a maximum of 5 flights per day may be shared.
Why So Many Restrictions? If you're wondering why we impose these restrictions, when we just said that a person can't even fly that much per year, the answer is: Security. These are simple measures to keep your data and our servers safe.Top

Website Visitors and App Customers
MyFlight3D's app and website is unlike most websites in that it collects almost zero information. We simply feel that it doesn't matter. The only information that the website logs is the number of data file uploads per user, per day. This is in line with our "Storage Policy - Upload Limit" (described above) which is necessary to protect our servers from malicious attacks.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
MyFlight3D does not disclose personally-identifying information because we don't gather any. Conversation...complete.
MyFlight3D may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites or use of its apps. MyFlight3D does not display this information publicly or provide it to others.
Examples of this include:
Most commonly visited pages
Most commonly selected replay settings
Average data file size
Navigation paths logged for future efficiency increase
This is meta-data (ie: data about data) that is not associated with your email address or identity.
If MyFlight3D, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of MyFlight3D may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.
The MyFlight3D app does collect precise real-time geographic location data, but only during the recording process which is initiated and terminated by the user. MyFlight3D does not use or share this data with anyone in any conceivable fashion. It is collected anonymously in a form that does not personally identify you and is used solely for the purposes of creating the 3D animation replays described on this site. When creating the animated replay on the MyFlight3D website, any information the user enters which correlates personally identifiable information with the location data is solely at the discretion of the user, and MyFlight3D bears no responsibility for such actions.
